The Board of the University has concluded the appointment process to fill the position of UZH President. The board is proposing Michael Schaepman as nominee to the Senate.

Message from the Board of the University:
In its meeting on 2 March 2020, the Board of the University concluded the appointment process to fill the position of UZH President (successor of Prof. M. Hengartner) and agreed on a single candidacy.
The board is proposing the following candidate for the remaining term of office 2018-2022 to the Senate:
- Prof. Dr. Michael Schaepman, full professor of remote sensing and UZH Vice President Research
Prof. Schaepman will be invited to attend hearings with the faculties and representative bodies of UZH in the next few weeks. The Senate will make a decision about the Board of the University’s election proposal on 11 May 2020.
