With Ambizione, the SNSF has been funding promising early career researchers from Switzerland and abroad since 2008. In the 2025 call, 22 UZH researchers convinced the evaluation committees with their applications. Of the funded projects, eight are based at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and eight at the Faculty of Science, while six are based at the Faculty of Medicine.

Following a two-stage evaluation, the SNSF has now awarded a total of 93 grants. The average duration of the projects is four years and the average grant amount is CHF 706,300.
